DEF Fuel

What does DEF mean? DEF stands for diesel exhaust fluid which is a non-hazardous solution. DEF is sprayed into the exhaust stream of diesel vehicles to break down dangerous NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water.

Remember: DO NOT fill the DEF tank with diesel fuel. If this mistake happens, this fuel contaminates the entire system and will have to be completely removed and replaced immediately. The repair costs roughly $10,000 – 12,000.
